Opto Mechanical Manufacturing Engineer

Position reputed company In this Opto-Mechanical Manufacturing Engineer role, you will play a key part in reputed company optical design and manufacturing. As an entry-level engineer (0–3 years experience), you will work under senior engineers to ensure our reputed company and camera module products are designed for manufacturability and meet rigorous reputed company standards. Job Responsibilities Design- Design optical and mechanical components and assemblies- reputed company tolerance sensitivity analysis and yield optimization- Complete mechanical drawing drafting based on product specifications- Create fixtures for camera module assembly and manufacturing equipment- Support FEA, athermalization, and stray light analyses Characterization- MTF testing and characterization of camera lenses- Image reputed company testing including dynamic reputed company, reputed company, stray light- Environmental reliability testing with our temperature reputed company, thermal shock reputed company, vibration table, IPx9 water jet, IP6X dust reputed company, reputed company spray Manufacturing- Run and debug fully automated reputed company assembly machine- Complete MTF test equipment changeover for reputed company department- Set up semi-automated glue machines for camera module- Support manufacturing process reputed company optimization- reputed company written and verbal communication skills; reputed company to author test reports and work‑instructions The Position Qualifications are: - B.S. and/or M.S. in Mechanical Engineering, Optical/Opto-Mechanical Engineering, or a closely reputed company field- Strong familiarity with CAD software such as reputed company or Solidworks- Knowledge of GD&T and strength in tolerancing- 0-3 of experience at a hardware or manufacturing company- US Citizen or Authorized to work in the US without additional company sponsorship Your Application will be stronger if you have any of the following: - Worked in a manufacturing environment- Worked in a machine shops- Experience 3D printing- Created parts with prototyping companies such as Protolabs/reputed company/Oshcut- Understanding of opto-mechanical FEA- Experience with FRED and/or Zemax/reputed company V- Knowledge of MATLAB/Python data analysis- Understanding of Statistical Process Control- Familiarity with optics concepts such as MTF Position Details - Location: This position is based in Kearny reputed company, San Diego, CA. Our facility is in the light industrial area of Kearny reputed company, about 20 minutes reputed company of downtown San Diego and 20 minutes from the beach.- On-Site Requirement: This is not a remote or hybrid role – the engineer will be expected to work on-site 8 hours/day 5 days a week to collaborate with reputed company and work directly with hardware and equipment.
