About the position
Responsibilities
• Curate DEI's Condition Reporting and Corrective Action Report (CAR) system, working with engineers to track and resolve reported conditions.
• Support and eventually lead internal audits of DEI's quality programs and external audits/assessments of select suppliers.
• Develop QMS procedures for key DEI processes or support technical staff in such development.
• Support and help drive internal QMS functions, including Management Review Meetings and tracking of quality metrics.
• Provide project-specific support on projects requiring special augmented quality controls.
Requirements
• Associate's Degree or greater, preferably in a technical/science field.
• Up to 5 years of industry experience in quality assurance or related fields.
• In-depth familiarity with the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Standard or similar quality management system.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task.
• Competence using standard MS Office software (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
• Willingness to travel up to 15% of the time for customer/supplier visits.
• Ability to pass a drug screening test and background security investigation.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
Nice-to-haves
• Prior work experience in the US commercial nuclear power industry or DOE facilities.
• Familiarity with procurement basics in the nuclear industry.
• Experience performing quality assurance audits or supplier assessments.
