About the position
Responsibilities
• Direct oversight of the Revenue and Sales & Events operations of the hotel
• Manage the Sales, Marketing and Events Budget/P&L
• Conduct revenue forecasting
• Oversee advertising and marketing efforts
• Develop and write business plans
• Lead ownership meetings
• Implement short-term and long-term strategies in sales, catering, and marketing channels
• Maximize overall hotel revenue for rooms and food and beverage
• Implement effective pricing and distribution strategies
• Manage revenue management analytic functions
• Produce accurate revenue forecasts
• Mentor, develop, and guide hotel team members
• Lead recruitment and hiring of sales and event services staff
• Train and coach managers in selling and servicing processes
• Monitor group and transient contractual agreement processes
• Manage retention, reactivation, and acquisition accounts
Requirements
• Relevant Revenue and/or Sales leadership experience, 5 years preferred
• Previous Hyatt experience preferred
• Demonstrated ability to effectively interact with people of diverse socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds
• Professional presentation skills
• Must be a caring leader that builds trust and engagement by cultivating genuine relationships
• Innovative thinker that will challenge business processes and concepts to drive results
• Creative and strategic in developing marketing/advertising campaigns and managing social media platforms
• Clear, concise written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Proficient with computers as well as Microsoft Word, Excel and the internet
• Comfortable with sales and revenue systems/programs
• Flexible to work some nights and weekends when necessary based on business and staffing needs
Nice-to-haves
• Experience in the hospitality industry
• Familiarity with hotel revenue management systems
