About the position
Responsibilities
• Coordinates hiring processes, ensuring all required forms and background checks are completed.
• Enters and verifies personnel and position transactions.
• Provides information to agency staff regarding transactions or other personnel related issues.
• Provides information to employees and others on pay matters, tax issues, and benefit plans.
• Resolves personnel transaction problems; assists other HR staff as needed.
Requirements
• High school diploma or GED with two years of experience performing human resources related functions, or an Associate's degree with one year of experience at the lower level HR Tech 2 (HRT011) or position equivalent.
• 1 year of experience in Human Resources.
Nice-to-haves
• Experience in Human Resources within Georgia state government or another public sector.
• 2+ years of experience entering transactions using TeamWorks or similar software.
