About the position
Responsibilities
• Effectively uses the Nursing Process in the delivery of patient care through data gathering, planning, and evaluation to ensure the patient and provider are prepared for the Telemedicine visit.
• Completes appropriate documentation for all Telemedicine encounters, including registration if necessary.
• Coordinates and maintains data registry for each Telemedicine program.
• Provides excellent patient service through effective communication both over the phone and through video.
• Maintains proficiency in computer systems and databases for the purpose of excellent patient care, accurate data collection, monitoring, and evaluation.
• Maintains professional and technical knowledge and required licensure and certifications through continuous education and professional development.
• Adapts behavior to the specific patient population, including respect for privacy and communication style.
• Performs other related duties as required.
Requirements
• Licensed Practical Nursing diploma.
• Current state licensure from an accredited School of Practical Nursing.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
Nice-to-haves
• 3 years hospital based experience in the delivery of patient care as an LPN.
• Experience in Call Center, Emergency Department, Triage, or Telehealth setting.
