Personal Assistant
My name is Layla, and I am currently working as Brittney’s intern for the summer. Brittney is a licensed commercial real estate agent in Connecticut, Massachusetts, and Rhode Island who also owns an interior design company called Brittney Gondek Design. Most recently, she launched a vintage furniture business and e-commerce website. As I prepare to return to school, Brittney is looking for someone to step into a supportive role and help with many of the responsibilities I’ve been handling—ideally someone with a background in real estate who can assist with both administrative and operational tasks.
One of the key aspects of the position will be staying organized and keeping track of day-to-day priorities through a shared task list. This will likely be something simple and collaborative, such as a Google Doc, if that works best for both of you. The list would serve as a clear, ongoing outline of tasks to be completed and help ensure a smooth flow of communication and progress.
Because her work spans multiple areas, the role is dynamic and ever-changing. Tasks may include light bookkeeping in collaboration with her bookkeepers, making and returning phone calls to clarify property details or communicate with other agents, following up on leads, and occasionally entering property listings into CoStar and MLS. You may also be asked to create or manage spreadsheets to track client interests and submitted offers. Light experience with Excel, retail leasing, or financial analysis would be helpful, and strong communication and organizational skills are essential.
Other responsibilities might include assisting with light design-related tasks, website updates, staying in touch with contractors, and helping Brittney manage her personal investments. If someone is local, there could occasionally be in-person errands, such as photographing properties or measuring rooms. The role offers flexibility and room to grow for the right person.
