UX Researcher - Remote
About the position
Responsibilities
• Support the UX vision and strategy established by project leadership in alignment with business objectives.
• Collaborate to form questions, hypotheses, and methods to effectively uncover insights and execute research plans to inform product and user experience decisions.
• Conduct user interviews and surveys, develop personas, and perform other research to drive empathy and validate concepts.
• Participate in ideation sessions, rapid testing, and concept validation to discover and develop UX solutions.
• Test solutions for usability and accessibility, run feedback sessions, and conduct related research to help teams iterate.
• Communicate study results and user outcomes clearly and in an unbiased way, using data to illustrate the user's story.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in psychology, human computer interaction, human factors, or related field.
• 3+ years of applied UX research experience in the software industry.
• Candidate must reside in the US, be authorized to work in the U.S., and work must be performed in the U.S.
• Candidate must have resided in the U.S. 3 of the last 5 years.
• Candidate must be eligible for public trust.
Nice-to-haves
• Master's degree in psychology, human computer interaction, human factors, or related field.
• 10+ years of overall professional experience preferred.
• Able to provide 1 or more case studies demonstrating your research process and deliverables.
• Knowledge of WCAG 2.0 Level AA / Section 508 compliance preferred.
• Experience in federal contracting or healthcare IT preferred.
• Active or past clearance to work with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services or the US Department of Health and Human Services.
