This position is responsible for database support and maintenance and will provide direct support to agency databases. Database Administrator will assist in ITS goal 'To Improve Operation availability and Performance'. The Database Administrator will be responsible for 7X24 production support for Oracle and SQL Server environment and related activities. Candidate should be proficient at a Senior DBA level, with all aspects of Oracle and SQL Server database administration, and Application Development Support. Candidate should show proficiency in server administration, and competency in ITIL and Security Policies and Procedures. Candidate must have the ability to lead a team, and excellent communication and inter-personal skills, as well as experience in cloud and LCAP platforms. Minimum Qualifications • Experience with Oracle RAC databases. • Experience in Cloud platforms such as Oracle, Azure, and AWS. • Experience in PL SQL programming. • Experience in the analysis, design, development, testing, and implementation of large systems. • Experience working with high level and detailed designs, system architecture, production systems, online and batch processing environments. • Database Administration: Experience in installing, configuring and administering Oracle and SQL Server Databases, experience with Oracle's Real Application Cluster (RAC), and Oracle Enterprise Management (OEM) Grid and SQL Server management Studio. • Ability to write SQL scripts, troubleshoot and resolve Oracle/SQL server database/application problems. Ability to create and document Oracle/SQL Server DBA processes, procedures, policies, and tasks. Experience in migrating and supporting databases in cloud. • Extensive experience in upgrading and applying security patches to Oracle and SQL Server databases. Experience with RAC and Automatic Storage Management (ASM), RMAN, Oracle Data Guard, and Database cloning/overlay. • Experience in database security, backup, recovery, and archival concepts and procedures. Has worked in diverse platforms on Oracle databases covering Red Hat Linux, Oracle Linux, IBM AIX supporting very large databases in 24/7 production environment. • Hands-on experience in planning, designing SQL Server and Oracle Backups and Recovery strategies using RMAN, export/import - logical and physical backups. Experience with RAC and ASM. • Experience with Container Database (CDB) and Pluggable Database (PDB) technology/concept. • Hands-on experience in tuning SQL queries of Oracle and SQL Server databases. • Ability to implement the database with ASM and have SAN storage associated special commands. • Familiar with use of CNAME concept. • Familiar with database security audits (internal and external). Additional Considerations • Oracle Database Administration Professional Certification • Experience in Data Masking and Scrubbing • Experience in LCAP Platforms like Salesforce Lightening • Experience in Database as a Service in Cloud/Hybrid cloud or on premises. • Considerable experience in multiple IT areas with relevant subject matter expertise.
