QA Engineer - 100% Remote - 6 Months Contract
We are seeking a Quality Engineering Analyst to support ongoing QE operations, with a focus on test management administration, automation framework support, and coordination around a major SaaS divestiture project. This is a mid-level, hands-on support role ideal for someone with strong testing experience, solid automation fundamentals, and familiarity with pipelines and tooling in a collaborative engineering environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Strategic QE Leadership
• Own QE technical direction during a multi-system divestiture, ensuring test coverage and automation continuity through major infrastructure shifts.
• Act as a senior advisor for tooling decisions, process improvement, and automation strategy.
• Represent QE in planning sessions with senior engineers, DevOps, and vendors.
• Automation Oversight & Support
• Maintain and support existing automation frameworks (JavaScript; C# exposure helpful but not required).
• Validate automation functionality and integration across CI/CD pipelines as systems are transitioned to new SaaS instances.
• Troubleshoot and resolve test automation and environment issues throughout the divestiture process.
• Tooling & Pipeline Coordination
• Support the setup and administration of SaaS-based test management tools (e.g., QMetry or similar).
• Work with pipeline teams (Azure DevOps, Harness) to ensure seamless automation execution without needing to build pipelines directly.
• Help validate data migration integrity and system readiness in partnership with vendors and internal teams.
• Innovation & R&D (Optional)
• Contribute to exploratory work around AI-driven testing or metrics frameworks, as time and focus allow.
Required Skills & Experience:
• 10+ years of experience in software engineering, QA/QE, or test automation, including:
• 2+ years supporting or maintaining test automation frameworks.
• Strong JavaScript development skills; C# familiarity is a plus but not essential.
• Deep understanding of QE processes, including test strategy, tooling, and defect lifecycle.
• Experience with SaaS test management tools (e.g., QMetry or similar platforms).
• Working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, Harness) and how automation interacts with them.
• Prior experience supporting automation through platform transitions, SaaS migrations, or divestiture projects.
• Ability to work independently in a remote, fast-paced, and cross-functional environment.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative, solutions-oriented mindset.
Nice to Have:
• Exposure to Playwright, Selenium, or other automation frameworks.
• Familiarity with Docker or containerized test environments.
• Interest in AI-enhanced testing or automation intelligence.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field or equivalent experience.
