We're seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Manager to lead our Incident Response team in a fully remote role. As a key member of our Cybersecurity and Digital Risk (CDR) team, you will play a critical role in protecting our customers' and employees' information, driving business growth, and upholding our commitment to becoming the leading cyber-safe airline in the industry.

At United Airlines, we offer a competitive salary range of $126,225 to $185,130, dependent on job-related factors such as experience, education, and skills. About the Role

As a Senior Manager, Incident Response, you will be responsible for leading a team of cybersecurity professionals, managing complex projects, and developing strategies to enhance our incident response capabilities. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate potential threats, ensuring the security and integrity of our systems and data.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of cybersecurity professionals to achieve results and drive business growth
  • Develop and implement incident response strategies, processes, and procedures to ensure effective threat detection and mitigation
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address potential security threats and vulnerabilities
  • Define and develop metrics programs to track the maturity, evolution, and health of our cybersecurity program
  • Identify opportunities to leverage existing security investments and recommend new technologies to enhance our cybersecurity posture
  • Work with external partners, such as law enforcement, cyber insurers, and lawyers, to stay ahead of emerging threats and trends

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (minimum 9+ years of experience in IT, including at least 3 years in Cybersecurity and management)
  • A high sense of urgency, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to identify, analyze, and resolve complex problems
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate technical information to non-technical audiences
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with experience in leading cross-functional teams and driving results
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a willingness to work on-call in support of 24x7 operations

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree or equivalent experience in STEM
  • 10+ years of experience in IT, including at least 5 years in Cybersecurity
  • PMP, CISSP, CISM, CISA, or GCFA certifications
