As a Senior Data Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in designing and implementing data pipelines and infrastructure that support our data-driven products and services. Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and design scalable data solutions
- Develop and maintain data pipelines to collect, process, and store data from various sources
- Optimize data storage and retrieval processes to ensure maximum performance and efficiency
- Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues, ensuring data quality and accuracy
- Implement data security and privacy measures to protect sensitive government information
- Stay up-to-date with the latest data engineering technologies and best practices
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Proven experience as a Data Engineer, with at least 2 years in a senior role
- Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala
- Expertise in designing and implementing ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes
- Hands-on experience with big data technologies, including Hadoop, Spark, or similar
- Solid understanding of relational and NoSQL databases
- Familiarity with cloud-based data storage and processing platforms, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
- Experience with data modeling and database design principles
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a keen eye for detail
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
