About the Role:
The Vice President of Academic, Corporate, and Community Affairs will serve as the chief academic officer of the college, responsible for educational policy, accreditation, academic programs, curriculum, corporate and workforce training, and community programming. You will provide leadership and direction for academic personnel decisions, budget development, enrollment management, and senior-level fiscal accountability, while promoting a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic leadership and guidance for academic program development, evaluation, and innovation
- Oversee the establishment of guidelines for all educational programs and ensure proper hiring practices are followed
- Develop and implement comprehensive institutional retention planning and reporting requirements
- Expand institutional initiatives, internships, and scholarships to support enrollment and retention
- Foster a collegial environment that encourages scholarship, teaching, and learning excellence
- Advocate for quality instruction, student success, integrated planning, and the expansion of Student Learning Outcomes
- Collaborate with community groups, educational entities, business, industry, government, and legislative bodies to develop partnerships
Requirements:
- Earned terminal degree (Ph.D. or Ed.D.) and proven training and development in leadership
- Experience in higher education at or near the Vice-Presidential Level, with at least 7 years of academic leadership and 5 years of instruction experience
- Strong competence in understanding and executing accreditation standards and processes
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities, with a high level of emotional intelligence
- Demonstrated experience with strategic planning, fiscal management, and data-driven decision-making
