Instructional Assistant - Special Education (Full-Time)
Join Our Dynamic Team at Eagle Point School District 9! We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Instructional Assistant - Special Education to support our students with diverse needs. As a key member of our team, you will work collaboratively with teachers and staff to provide individualized instruction, tutoring, and support to students with emotional, physical, behavioral, or mental disabilities.

About the Role:
- Provide instruction and tutoring to students with special needs under the guidance of a classroom teacher
- Assist in maintaining a clean and orderly learning environment to ensure student health and safety
- Support students with personal hygiene and grooming needs, including toileting, eating, and changing diapers and clothes
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills in working with special needs students

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred
- Experience working with special needs students, preferably in an educational setting
- Knowledge of positive behavior supports and willingness to learn best practices
- Ability to work collaboratively as a team and communicate effectively with students, teachers, and staff
