Job Summary:

We're seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Academic Tutor & Behavioral Coach to join our team in El Cajon/La Mesa. As a coach, you'll work closely with students and their families to provide personalized support, guidance, and mentorship. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing direct support to students through one-on-one coaching sessions, focusing on academic, social, emotional, and behavioral development
  • Preparing engaging lessons, communicating with families, and tracking student progress in our goal-tracking system
  • Offering ongoing, consistent support to clients, tailored to their unique needs and goals
  • Maintaining regular communication with families, ensuring they're informed and involved in their child's progress
  • Submitting worked hours, updating client goal progress, and participating in ongoing professional development opportunities

Requirements and Qualifications:

To be considered for this role, you'll need:

  • A Bachelor's degree or higher in Education, Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field
  • At least 2 years of experience working with children and adolescents, particularly those with behavioral, social, or emotional challenges
  • Availability to work at least 3 weekdays from 3 pm-7 pm, with some morning and weekend hours available
  • Strong personal organizational and time management skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Familiarity with online management platforms and strong communication skills, in multiple mediums (in-person, email, etc.)
  • A valid CA Mandated Reporter Training Certificate of Completion, or willingness to obtain one
