Job Description:
We're looking for a talented video technician with expertise in camera configuration, quality control, and remote troubleshooting of video systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in SSH, Linux terminal, Git, and network configuration, as well as knowledge of computer hardware and video codecs. If you're a critical thinker with excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and strong communication skills, we want to hear from you!
Responsibilities:
- Configure and update camera settings to ensure optimal performance
- Conduct quality control checks on video footage to identify and resolve issues
- Pull footage from remote Network Video Recorders using Teamviewer or FFMPEG
- Troubleshoot and repair systems remotely, providing timely and effective support to our customers
- Maintain accurate records and documentation, with a focus on attention to detail and follow-through
- Collaborate with our team to resolve technical issues and improve our video systems
Requirements:
- Strong skills in Linux terminal, SSH, Git, and network configuration
- Knowledge of computer hardware and video codecs
- Excellent critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills
- High attention to detail and ability to follow established processes and guidelines
- Conversational English skills for internal communication with our team
- High school diploma or equivalent required
Nice to Have:
- Experience with Linux administration and FFMPEG
- Familiarity with video codecs (H.264, H.265, AV1) and containers (.mp4, .avi, .mkv)
