Job Responsibilities

  • Utilize the State of Michigan's Project Portfolio Management Tool (Clarity) to prepare project schedules and manage budgets
  • Monitor, control, and communicate project progress, ensuring adherence to cost, schedule, and quality standards
  • Provide clear and timely communications to stakeholders, including project sponsors and team members
  • Develop and maintain key project management deliverables throughout the project lifecycle, including charters and risk management plans
  • Facilitate stakeholder interactions and clarify expectations to ensure deliverables are completed on time

Qualifications

  • In-depth knowledge of IT project management, including industry standards and best practices
  • Proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget in a formal project manager role
  • Experience with project budgets, schedules, change requests, and risk and issue logs
  • Proficiency in using project portfolio management systems and tools, specifically Clarity
  • Experience managing a multi-vendor environment, particularly in a government setting

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with IRS/PCI environments
  • Familiarity with MS Project software
  • Ability to handle a variety of stakeholders from different departments or program areas
  • No non-compete requirements with the vendor, allowing for potential full-time opportunities
