Job Responsibilities
- Utilize the State of Michigan's Project Portfolio Management Tool (Clarity) to prepare project schedules and manage budgets
- Monitor, control, and communicate project progress, ensuring adherence to cost, schedule, and quality standards
- Provide clear and timely communications to stakeholders, including project sponsors and team members
- Develop and maintain key project management deliverables throughout the project lifecycle, including charters and risk management plans
- Facilitate stakeholder interactions and clarify expectations to ensure deliverables are completed on time
Qualifications
- In-depth knowledge of IT project management, including industry standards and best practices
- Proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget in a formal project manager role
- Experience with project budgets, schedules, change requests, and risk and issue logs
- Proficiency in using project portfolio management systems and tools, specifically Clarity
- Experience managing a multi-vendor environment, particularly in a government setting
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with IRS/PCI environments
- Familiarity with MS Project software
- Ability to handle a variety of stakeholders from different departments or program areas
