Job Summary:
As a Remote Data Entry Specialist, you will perform data entry tasks, answer high-volume customer requests, and work under direct supervision. You will utilize pharmacy systems to retrieve patient and medication information, observe guideline working methods, and perform duties according to company policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process new patient enrollments by entering data into the appropriate system
- Handle patient medication requests within HIPAA guidelines and enter refill orders for processing
- Investigate missing prescription information and interpret medical abbreviations (SIG codes)
- Resolve data entry-related exceptions
- Communicate with patients (inbound calls, chats, emails) and make outbound calls to prescribers and patients as needed
- Resolve Third-Party Rejections by researching, gathering information, making corrections, and resubmitting for processing
- Provide support to pharmacists, both in-office and at other locations
Requirements:
- Basic computer skills (e.g., starting and shutting down a computer, using a mouse, starting and closing programs)
- Basic web browser skills (e.g., opening a browser, typing URLs, using a search engine, bookmarking a site)
- Intermediate keyboarding skills (at least 25 WPM, typing by memory, formatting documents)
- Effective communication skills (written and verbal)
Preferred Qualifications:
- At least one year of pharmacy technician experience in a retail or call center environment
- Experience providing customer support to internal and external customers
- Intermediate to advanced keyboarding skills (at least 35 WPM, typing by memory, formatting documents)
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English
