Regional Remote Veterinarian - ASPCA Poison Control Center
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Veterinarian to join our ASPCA Poison Control team as a Consulting Veterinarian in Clinical Toxicology (CVCT). As a leading animal poison control call center, our team supports veterinarians and pet owners 24/7, providing critical assistance to hundreds of thousands of pets each year. In this role, you will systematically gain toxicology knowledge through our staged training and mentoring process, managing cases involving animals exposed to potentially dangerous substances. You will share your expertise with veterinarians, animal owners, and other stakeholders, providing consultation and support to our team. Key Responsibilities:
- Manage cases involving animals exposed to potentially toxic substances, providing diagnostic and treatment recommendations to veterinarians and pet owners.
- Develop and maintain expertise in clinical toxicology, staying up-to-date with the latest research and developments in the field.
- Collaborate with our team of veterinarians, veterinary technicians, and support staff to provide exceptional care and service to our clients.
- Participate in training and professional development opportunities, including weekly veterinarian rounds and continuing education events.
- Contribute to the development of educational resources and publications, including case reports, blog posts, and webinars.

Requirements:
- DVM or VMD degree from an accredited veterinary college.
- Current veterinary license in any US state, with eligibility to obtain an Illinois state veterinary license within one year of hire.
- Minimum 1 year of clinical experience, with emergency facility work experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of veterinary clinical medicine and a strong interest in toxicology.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with veterinarians, pet owners, and other stakeholders.
