We're looking for a talented Senior Gameplay Engineer to join our team and help us create an original nonviolent MMO that inspires and delights players.
As a Senior Gameplay Engineer at Spry Fox, you'll be responsible for designing and implementing game systems, tools, and features that bring our game to life. You'll work closely with our design and engineering teams to create polished game experiences that are both fun and engaging. Responsibilities:
- Design and implement game systems, tools, and features using Unreal Engine
- Collaborate with the design team to translate designs into polished game experiences
- Work with the engineering team to develop powerful client and server code
- Focus on the timing and "feel" aspects of game design to create an immersive player experience
Requirements:
- Proven experience in game development, with a focus on gameplay engineering
- Strong programming and debugging skills in C++
- Excellent communication skills and ability to thrive in a remote team environment
- Recent experience working with Unreal Engine and in-depth knowledge of game engine components and architecture
- Experience with multiplayer game development and shipping games with high-quality controls, character, and camera systems
Nice to Have:
- Experience with animation and animation systems
- Experience with data-driven tool development and working with designers
- Previous experience with live game development and automated testing
