Role Objective:

The Field Account Development Dedicated Manager is responsible for managing a defined portfolio of key existing accounts, identifying evolving client needs, and ensuring we continue to serve those needs with our array of cash flow and payment solutions. The goal is to achieve portfolio-level account retention and volume growth through face-to-face interactions with clients.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Planning: Identify accounts with growth potential, prioritize clients, and track opportunity development in CRM database (10-20% of time)
  • Relationship Management: Proactively reach out to customers to uncover opportunities, develop client-specific value propositions, and maintain high-level relationships (10-20% of time)
  • Client Solutions: Use consultative skills to maintain and develop existing customer relationships, grow charge volume, and onboard new vendors (20-30% of time)
  • Negotiate and Close: Seek opportunities to up-sell and cross-sell commensurate with client needs, and bring in leadership and internal business partners as needed (20-30% of time)
  • Compliance: Ensure adherence to American Express Code of Conduct, Sales Practices policies, and regulatory requirements (100% of time)

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 3-5 years of excellent sales experience, preferably in a highly regulated industry
  • Strong customer relationship building skills, consultative selling, and closing abilities
  • High learning agility, intellectually curious, collaborative, and growth mindset
  • Personal accountability and compliance-focused
