We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Special Education Teaching Assistant/Paraprofessional to join our team at DuPage Regional Office of Education. About the Role:
- Assist special education staff in meeting the instructional and functional needs of assigned students
- Communicate regularly with teachers, case managers, and related service providers to ensure student progress and success
- Participate in team meetings to share progress, problem-solve, and develop strategies to support student learning
- Complete record-keeping, collect data, and perform clerical functions to support teachers and ensure up-to-date reference documents
Benefits and Compensation:
- Competitive salary: $18.50 per hour

Requirements and Skills:
- Paraprofessional Certification required
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with students, teachers, and staff
- Physical demands: frequent standing, walking, sitting, and lifting of up to 25 pounds
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent computer work and exposure to various noise levels
