Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join our team in Buffalo Public Schools. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing direct instructional services to students under the supervision of certified teachers. Key Responsibilities:

• Provide individualized support to students with special instructional projects
• Assist teachers in developing learning experiences and providing feedback
• Utilize special skills and abilities to support instructional programs in areas such as foreign language, arts, and music
• Communicate effectively with teachers, staff, and parents
• Attend to the physical needs of students as needed
• Participate in professional learning opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge

Requirements:

• Hold a temporary license, continuing certificate, or Level I, II, III, or Para-Professional certificate
• Possess a high school diploma or GED
• Pass the Assessment of Teaching Assistant Skills Tests (ATAS) or Liberal Arts and Sciences Test (LAST)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a diverse population
