Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Manager of Outreach and Academic Services to lead our Upward Bound Piner program at Sonoma State University. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing management and guidance to the program, supervising staff and student personnel, and ensuring compliance with all university and sponsoring agency policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide management and guidance to the Upward Bound Program at Piner High School
* Supervise staff and student personnel
* Plan, organize, develop, and implement student-centered program operations
* Ensure compliance with all SSU, CSU, and sponsoring agency policies and procedures
* Manage budget and ensure audit compliance
* Hire, supervise, and guide assigned personnel
Requirements
* Minimum of three years' experience in personnel supervision and evaluation, program development and evaluation, and fiscal management
* Three years of progressively responsible and applicable management and/or supervisory experience
* Bachelor's Degree in a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
* Valid CA teaching or pupil personnel services credential highly preferred
* Master's Degree in Education or related field preferred
* Working knowledge of TRIO and Pre-collegiate programs
* Experience advising, teaching, and tutoring
* Knowledge of learning strategies, academic skill development, and grade level assessments
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience working with high school aged students
* Aptitude in management, supervision, strategic planning, project management, and program implementation
* Ability to adapt to change in the work environment
* Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly in both oral and written form
* High level of proficiency with computer applications, including Google Suite and Microsoft Office
Salary and Benefits
* Starting salary placement depends on qualifications and experience, anticipated to be in the range of $4,500 to $4,800 per month
* Full-time, temporary, exempt position
* Eligible for a broad range of benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurances, retirement (CalPERS), tuition waiver, vacation, and sick leave
