The University of Chicago's Education Lab is seeking an experienced Implementation Manager to lead the evaluation of a large-scale tutoring intervention in partnership with the Chicago Public Schools. As an Implementation Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring the successful implementation of the program, building strong relationships with stakeholders, and driving project success.

About the Role:

  • Manage the implementation of a large-scale tutoring intervention in partnership with the Chicago Public Schools
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with research partners, schools, community groups, and district offices
  • Coordinate provision of services with partner schools and agencies, and serve as the primary point of contact for communication with the research team
  • Monitor and assess implementation, ensuring rigor and quality, and provide updates and feedback on study progress to internal and external partners
  • Communicate research information, project updates, and community feedback to policymakers, researchers, program providers, and other stakeholders

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., economics, public policy, social science, education, social work)
  • 2-5 years of work experience in a related job discipline
  • Strong project management skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex ideas in a simple and straightforward way
  • Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment, work independently, and as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience working in low-income communities experiencing high rates of violence
  • Experience working with or for organizations delivering social services to individuals living in disadvantaged communities
  • Previous program management experience, including demonstrated success navigating various stakeholder interests
  • Knowledge of urban policy, social policy, crime policy, and workforce development
