Graduate Assistant for Men's and Women's Golf
Join Our Team at Newman University! We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Graduate Assistant to support our Men's and Women's Golf teams. As a key member of our athletic department, you will play a vital role in the day-to-day operations of the team, assisting the head coach in planning and executing training sessions, games, and tournaments. As a Graduate Assistant, you will be responsible for:
- Assisting the head coach in planning and running team training sessions
- Recording and reviewing games and practices
- Assisting with scouting reports and recruiting efforts
- Coordinating travel planning and scheduling
- Mentoring and tutoring student-athletes
- Developing and demonstrating a working knowledge of NCAA compliance rules
- Completing all University-required trainings, including FERPA and Title IX
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree completed
- Accepted and enrolled full-time in a Master's degree program (M.S.E. Organizational Leadership preferred)
- Previous experience in a college athletic setting
- Strong organizational and computer skills
- Ability to exercise basic human relations skills in directing and motivating staff and dealing with varied constituencies

- $2,000 stipend paid over 12 months
