Job Summary
We are looking for a certified teacher to join our team as an Earth Space/Environmental Science High School Teacher. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and educating students, developing and implementing engaging lesson plans, and maintaining a safe and nurturing learning environment. This is a 9-month position, and the salary will be based on the Teacher Salary Schedule.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement creative and engaging lesson plans to promote student success
- Manage and educate students, helping them discover and fulfill their potential
- Maintain a safe, inviting, and nurturing space for students, staff, and the community
- Set and maintain standards of classroom behavior and uphold District discipline policies
- Enhance Peoria Unified's culture by encouraging and strengthening parent and community partnerships
- Adhere to effective policies, practices, and accountability of District resources
Requirements
- A valid intern, provisional, or standard Arizona Teaching Certificate; or possess the necessary qualifications to become certified in the state of Arizona
- Must possess or obtain an Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
- Specialized teaching assignments may require additional training and/or certification
- Must be able to pass a fingerprint and background clearance check
