  • Job Summary: We're looking for a skilled and enthusiastic Hardware Store Clerk to provide top-notch customer service, operate cash registers, and assist with inventory management in a fast-paced hardware store environment. Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate cash registers efficiently and accurately to process customer transactions.
  • Operate forklift or skidsteer to move, load, and unload products.
  • Assist with stocking shelves and maintaining product displays to ensure the store is well-organized and visually appealing.
  • Engage with customers to provide assistance, answer questions, and promote products through effective upselling techniques.
  • Conduct product demonstrations to showcase new items and encourage sales.
  • Maintain knowledge of retail math to assist in inventory management and sales reporting.
  • Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues or complaints promptly and professionally.

 

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a hardware store or retail environment is preferred but not required.
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with customers.
  • Basic knowledge of cash register operations and retail math principles.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also demonstrating leadership skills when supervising others.
  • Experience with product demonstrations and sales techniques is an advantage.
  • Must be detail-oriented, organized, and capable of multitasking in a busy environment.
