Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough investigations to determine the cause of electrical system failures, analyzing data, and evaluating construction quality, design, and maintenance procedures.
  • Perform field investigations, lead multi-party examinations, and document damaged property to provide accurate and comprehensive reports.
  • Research failure modes, code requirements, and provide expert recommendations for repair and/or replacement as needed.
  • Prepare clear, concise, and thorough reports for clients, detailing opinions and conclusions.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on complex assignments, maintaining established relationships with clients and consultants.
  • Stay up-to-date with company policies, procedures, and practices, participating in ongoing training and development to ensure knowledge and skills remain current and comprehensive.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering with over 5 years of experience in evaluating electrical system and component failures in a commercial or industrial setting.
  • Active Professional Engineering (PE) license in the resident state.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and computer skills (including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • A desire to learn, excel, and grow with our team and within the profession.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Expert witness testimony experience.
  • Multi-state PE licensing and/or active NCEES Record.
