Data Protection Specialist (Remote) - Join the Cybersecurity Revolution at CrowdStrike!
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data Protection Specialist to join our team at CrowdStrike, a global leader in cybersecurity. The successful candidate will work closely with our Senior Director of Data Protection to identify data loss trends, evaluate current tools, and develop actionable metrics to reduce our risk.Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Senior Director to identify data loss trends and exposure risks, and develop strategies to mitigate them.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of current data protection tools and recommend enhancements to improve our security posture.
- Analyze Data Loss Prevention (DLP) cases, ensure policies are enforced and effective, and develop updates to company policies.
- Present data protection metrics and reports to senior leadership, providing insights and recommendations to inform business decisions.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, including GDPR, CCPA, and others.
- Work closely with IT and Security teams to monitor and manage data access across platforms such as Google Workspace and Box.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in driving data protection reviews and recommending policy updates.
- Familiarity with Google and Box data protection tools, as well as endpoint review tools.
- CISSP certification preferred.
- Strong knowledge of data protection regulations and best practices.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
