Join Our Team: Caregiver - Direct Support Professional
Make a Meaningful Difference in the Lives of Others as a Caregiver - Direct Support Professional with our vibrant community in Remote. We are seeking a compassionate and skilled individual to provide direct care support to residents with differing abilities, assisting them with day-to-day tasks and promoting independence, dignity, and well-being.
As a Direct Support Professional, you will be part of a dynamic team that values compassion, integrity, teamwork, and excellence. Your role will involve providing personalized support to residents in our Community Based Residential Facility (CBRF) group homes, Supported Apartment Program (SAP), and Youth Foster Home. Responsibilities may include caregiving assistance, shopping, cooking, transportation, companionship, and conversation, as well as regulating emotions and behaviors in a home-like atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct care support to residents with differing abilities, including bathing, grooming, hygiene, dressing, mobility, and toileting (CBRF group homes)
- Assist with shopping, errands, meal preparation, daily living cues, and community outings (SAP)
- Offer companionship, conversation, and transportation to residents
- Regulate emotions and behaviors in a home-like atmosphere (Youth Foster Home)
Requirements:
- Must be at least 18 years of age (21 years of age for Foster Home)
- Maintain a valid driver's license with an excellent driving record
- Be mentally and physically capable of assisting participants based on their needs
- Experience working with behavioral support plans and trauma-informed care approaches is a plus
