Responsibilities:
As a Border Patrol Agent, you will be responsible for:
- Detecting, preventing, and apprehending undocumented noncitizens and smugglers
- Responding to electronic sensor alarms and interpreting physical evidence
- Patrolling the international boundary and coastal waterways
- Utilizing various government assets, including motor vehicles, horses, and watercraft
- Preparing investigative reports and gathering evidence for criminal cases
Qualifications:
To be eligible for this position, you must:
- Be a U.S. citizen
- Have primary U.S. residency for at least three of the last five years
- Meet the age restriction (under 40 years old, unless exempt)
- Have a bachelor's degree or one year of general work experience
- Pass a background investigation and medical examination
