We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to join our team as an Assistant Merchandising Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that team members have the necessary tools to perform their duties, while also developing and sustaining imaginative designs for store and merchandise displays.
Job Description:
The Assistant Merchandising Manager will work closely with the Team Leader to achieve targets in revenue, purchase, and labor expenses. Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and maintaining positive relationships with suppliers and vendors
- Assisting in evaluating sales, labor, and reports to inform business decisions
- Showing a comprehensive understanding of product features and staying up-to-date with the latest products
- Collaborating with the Team Leader to resolve team-related concerns and issues
- Fulfilling the duties of the Team Leader in their absence and assuming the role of departmental head
- Ensuring adherence to the highest standards of retail execution for success
- Upholding a positive and motivating team environment, with a focus on mutual respect and teamwork
- Communicating and embodying the company vision and objectives through consistent actions and behaviors
- Staying aware of customer behavior and preferences, and providing instructions to the team to cater to their needs and wants
- Providing performance evaluations that are well-rounded, poignant, and prompt
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need:

- Demonstrated talent and aptitude for making sound decisions, leading teams effectively, and prioritizing and delegating tasks efficiently
- Experience working in the retail industry as a team member for at least 18 months, with at least 6 months of team management experience
Physical Requirements:
This role requires the ability to work on your feet for extended periods, with the physical strength to carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds. You will also need to be able to stand or walk for around 6-8 hours out of an 8-hour workday, and engage in physical actions such as bending, twisting, squatting, and reaching.
