Job Overview:

The Application Support Engineer role involves:

  • Troubleshooting in-house and 3rd party applications, data mining, report building, and complex queries
  • Collaborating with customers and internal teams to resolve high-severity incidents
  • Developing and maintaining strong relationships with business partners to identify pain points and improve services
  • Communicating updates and progress to key stakeholders, ensuring timely resolutions and exceeding customer expectations
  • Participating in on-call and escalation rotations, demonstrating flexibility and a commitment to customer satisfaction

Responsibilities:

As an Application Support Engineer, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading complex troubleshooting and incident resolutions, leveraging your technical expertise and collaboration skills
  • Demonstrating superior customer service, measured by customer surveys and satisfaction ratings
  • Creating and maintaining detailed documentation, including root cause analysis and issue resolution
  • Collaborating with engineering teams, business analysts, and project managers to drive issue resolution and process improvements
  • Developing reports using SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and Logi, analyzing data to identify trends and areas for improvement

Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
  • 5+ years of application support experience in a production environment, with a strong understanding of software development lifecycles (SDLC)
  • Technical expertise in SQL, Oracle, XML, JSON, PL/SQL, and C#
  • Excellent customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Experience working in supply chain, WMS, WCS, WES, or other relevant positions (preferred)
