We're seeking a motivated and results-driven individual to join our outbound sales team as a Tele Sales Consultant. In this role, you'll build relationships with Business Card Members, understand their needs, and propose tailored American Express solutions to help them achieve their goals. Your primary focus will be on acquiring new commercial clients with annual business sales of $500,000 to $10 million through telephone-based sales, using consultative selling skills to offer business solutions and grow our customer base.
Key Responsibilities:
- Make outbound calls to business owners and decision-makers, using targeted lists provided by American Express, to identify new sales opportunities and build relationships.
- Engage in telephone consultations to understand customer needs and propose relevant American Express Business products, maintaining high levels of product and service knowledge to effectively communicate features and benefits.
- Lead a pipeline of potential clients, continuously improving key selling skills, such as building rapport, understanding customer needs, handling objections, and closing sales.
- Adhere to American Express values, sales practices, and standard operating procedures, championing compliance and upholding our commitment to excellence.
Required Qualifications:
- Inside sales experience with a proven track record of developing and maintaining business relationships, preferably in a cold-calling environment.
- Financial and business acumen, with knowledge of sales cycles and stages, and the ability to navigate multiple digital systems and web-based tools.
- Excellent active listening skills, a consultative approach to customer conversations, and strong telephone skills to adapt messages to diverse audiences.
