Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Data Analyst to join our team as a part-time remote worker. As a Data Analyst, you will play a key role in providing data analysis and support to our platform, service, and operational design teams. Your primary responsibility will be to define what questions should be asked and scale analysis methods and tools to support our growing business.
You will work closely with technical and non-technical team members throughout the organization, and your work will impact many partners at Amazon. Your duties will include:
- Working with stakeholders to guide them towards better decision-making using available data
- Advancing data and insights by managing communications with partners and different teams
- Maintaining a customer-driven focus while being a subject matter expert through data
- Managing ambiguous issues and adapting tools to address complex questions
- Identifying trade-offs between speed and quality of different approaches
- Creating analytical systems to measure team success by collaborating with teams to establish progress metrics
- Operationalizing data processes to provide partners with ad-hoc analysis, automated dashboards, and self-service reporting tools

Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- 2+ years of experience in a related field, with a strong background in data analysis and interpretation
- Expert SQL skills and proficiency in Python/R
- Experience using data to drive business results and inform decision-making
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
Preferred Qualifications:
While not essential, the following qualifications are desirable:
- Passion for online communities, gaming, and Amazon
- Experience in Operational Excellence, defining metrics, and analysis reporting
- Experience working with software development and operational event data
- Experience with machine learning techniques, such as logistic regression, decision trees, and neural networks
