The Opportunity:

Amazon's Distribution Promotion Services (PubTech) is a pioneering program driving innovation for our content distributors – across audio (Amazon Music), video (Prime Video, Twitch, Freevee, Fire TV), and commerce (Amazon.com) – to enhance their success, improve returns, and expand monetization.

Within the Distribution Promotion Services team, we are building highly adaptable advertising serving systems with core features to power advertisements. We are seeking a Product Innovation Specialist to build upon our initial successes, lead new initiatives for clients, and help define our future. As a member of the Distribution Promotion Services team, you will directly influence ad delivery, customer experience, and revenue. You will play a key role in developing software products and features from the ground up, empowering diverse advertising systems. You will leverage a wide range of technologies, programming languages, and systems. Your responsibilities will encompass all aspects of software development. You'll have the opportunity and support to explore your ideas and see the impact of your work on millions of customers. This is a high-impact role within PubTech, joining an entrepreneurial and forward-thinking team building from the ground up.

We are seeking candidates with experience in one or more of the following areas:

  • Core Capabilities:
  • Significant professional software development experience (5+ years)
  • Experience with software using at least one programming language
  • Experience leading the design or architecture (design patterns, unwavering quality, and scaling) of new and existing systems
  • Experience as a mentor, tech lead, or leading an engineering team

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience throughout the full software development lifecycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
  • Bachelor's degree in software engineering or a related field.
