Responsibilities:
You will be the primary point of contact for patients requiring assistance with specialty drug requests and reorders. This includes:
- Managing new and existing drug requests, including benefit verification.
- Guiding patients through the process of entering new or reordered medications into the pharmacy system.
- Collecting co-pays and other payments.
- Obtaining necessary approvals.
- Collaborating with insurance agencies, healthcare providers, and internal teams to monitor, resolve, and approve orders with financial or clinical issues.
Key Skills & Experience:
- Minimum of one year of experience in a customer service role, handling a high volume of complex customer inquiries via phone.
- Minimum of one year of experience with Windows-based applications (Windows, Microsoft Office, web browsing, email).
- Proficient keyboarding skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in healthcare, benefits, insurance, medical terminology, or pharmacy.
