Role Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Remote Adult Education Instructor to join our School of Education. In this role, you will deliver engaging and effective online instruction to adult learners, fostering a supportive and intellectually stimulating learning environment. Responsibilities:
- Deliver online instruction using Blackboard, including synchronous lectures via Zoom (Monday-Thursday, 3-7pm PST).
- Create and maintain a dynamic online learning environment that encourages active participation, critical thinking, and open discussion.
- Provide timely and constructive feedback to students.
- Manage course content and activities within the Blackboard platform.
- Participate in course preparation and grading processes.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in a relevant discipline.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience teaching adult learners online and in higher education.
- Proven ability to create engaging online learning experiences.
- Strong commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with online teaching platforms and technologies.
- Experience teaching adult learners in a higher education setting.
Compensation:
Compensation is commensurate with experience and based on a 3-unit course (101.25 hours). Undergraduate courses pay $3348 and graduate courses pay $3748. Contracts are typically 10 weeks long, including 1 week for preparation and 1 week for grading.
Location: Remote - open to residents of Alabama, Arizona, California, Georgia, Idaho, Indiana, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Nevada, New Hampshire, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, and Wisconsin.
