This is an exceptional opportunity to gain hands-on experience, develop your skills, and contribute to the success of our city. As a Technical Intern, you will be placed in one of our various agencies, working under the supervision of a subject matter expert or Department Supervisor, and assisting in performing work aligned with one of the following tracks: Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Cyber Security, IT Help Desk, Technical Operations, Graphic Design, Web Development, Network Administration, System Administration, Technical Project Management, or Technical System Analysis.

Our ideal candidate is a current student or recent graduate pursuing a certificate, licensure, or degree in a relevant field, with a strong understanding of engineering concepts, excellent communication skills, and the ability to prioritize critical technical issues. About the Opportunity

The City and County of Denver offers a competitive salary commensurate with education, as well as a comprehensive benefits package. Our hybrid workplace model provides flexibility, with a balance of on-site and remote work.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in performing work aligned with one of the specified technical tracks
  • Conduct basic documentation and reporting as needed
  • Provide basic end-user support to prevent stakeholder service delays
  • Field work and interact with customers
  • Prioritize critical technical issues based on stakeholder needs and impact on business needs
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive and privileged information
