Clinical Applications Training Advisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Applications Training Advisor to join our team. As a knowledgeable EHR consultant, trainer, educator, and evaluator, you will play a critical role in supporting and training end-users on clinical systems functionality and workflows, ensuring optimal use of clinical technology to achieve system-wide strategic priorities.

Reporting to the Clinical Applications Training Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive training plans, providing input into workflow development, and conducting end-user training on new clinical applications. You will also serve as a resource for our super user group and workforce, partnering with them to provide post-go-live end-user training and support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement training plans for clinical applications, including the Care Management Platform
  • Provide input into workflow development and related processes for new platforms
  • Conduct usability testing of clinical application workflows
  • Deliver end-user training on new clinical applications, including the Care Management Platform
  • Develop and maintain training curricula, calendars, and materials, including distance-learning modules for our learning management system (LMS)
  • Assess training needs and opportunities for internal and external end-users
  • Collaborate with managers and supervisors to develop remedial training plans for staff
  • Develop post-training evaluations to ensure end-user understanding and competence
  • Interact with vendor training resources as necessary
  • Participate in prioritizing and communicating changes requested for the system
  • Work with our EHR Implementation Team to coordinate software updates and changes for users and plan appropriate training

Requirements:

  • Associate degree or equivalent experience, with a Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
  • Successful completion of eCW credentialed training program
  • 2-4 years of experience in a healthcare environment, with prior classroom training experience strongly preferred
  • Knowledge and understanding of adult learning styles and excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new technology and applications, with basic technical troubleshooting skills
