Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Data Analyst to join our team, responsible for driving financial accuracy, insights, and compliance. As a key member of our finance team, you will manage day-to-day financial tasks, assist with financial reporting, and support adherence to accounting principles. Your expertise will be crucial in maintaining accurate records, providing valuable insights, and ensuring seamless financial operations as we continue to expand and grow.

Key Responsibilities:

  • General Ledger Maintenance: Ensure accuracy and reconcile the general ledger, maintaining precise entries and records.
  • SQL Expertise: Develop and maintain SQL queries to reconcile invoicing with internal data, driving financial insights and accuracy.
  • Transaction Processing: Handle daily entries, reconciliations, and post transactions with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Accounts Payable/Receivable: Process invoices, track collections, and manage outgoing payments, maintaining up-to-date and accurate records.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports, including profit and loss statements, to inform strategic planning and decision-making.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting: Collaborate on budgeting and forecasting processes, providing expert insights to guide financial decision-making and drive business growth.
  • Tax Compliance: Assist with tax filing and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations, maintaining the highest standards of integrity and adherence.
  • Audit Support: Gather and organize documentation to support internal and external audits, ensuring seamless and efficient processes.
  • Software Management: Utilize accounting software to maintain accurate records, streamline processes, and drive financial efficiency.
  • Internal Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, providing financial insights and expertise to support various projects and initiatives, and driving a culture of collaboration and excellence.

Qualifications:

  • Proven accounting experience, ideally within a startup or fast-paced environment, with a strong foundation in financial principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and strong data entry skills, with attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
  • SQL expertise, with the ability to develop and maintain complex queries and drive financial insights.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including familiarity with pivot tables and complex formulas, with the ability to analyze and interpret financial data.
  • Strong analytical skills, with attention to detail and a commitment to excellence, and the ability to drive financial insights and decision-making.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively, and drive multiple projects and initiatives.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on teamwork, collaboration, and driving a culture of excellence.
