About the position
Responsibilities
• Maintain a case load/roster of students and use MyKnightStar to track and monitor engagements and progress.
• Develop and implement proactive outreach services focused on retention and student success.
• Co-develop success plans with students and empower them to understand their degree requirements.
• Analyze students' academic and personal issues and refer them to appropriate campus resources.
• Provide accurate and timely information and coaching support to students from enrollment through graduation.
• Support student retention and graduation initiatives by identifying and resolving barriers to success.
• Monitor student progress, analyze problem areas, and conduct intervention activities as needed.
• Serve as the appointed representative to the academic college for retention and student success initiatives.
• Implement strategies to increase registration, enrollment, and timely graduation in partnership with the college.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• Under 1 year of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel) and desktop agent software (e.g., MS TEAMS).
• Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Nice-to-haves
• Experience in higher education or student coaching.
• Understanding of case management principles.
• Experience with customer service and using a CRM for tracking interactions.
