About the position
Responsibilities
• Develop and maintain analytic frameworks for structured and unstructured problems with minimal guidance.
• Build broad institutional knowledge of primary clients and their organizational culture.
• Collaborate effectively with team members and proactively seek opportunities for collaboration.
• Support business development by maintaining strong client relationships and contributing to proposal preparation.
• Interact with sponsors and clients under supervision, ensuring clear communication of project goals and results.
• Contribute to research publications and analytic products for individual projects.
• Communicate results clearly and concisely, both in writing and presentations.
• Manage own activities on focused project pieces and may lead small projects under supervision.
• Exhibit a positive attitude and provide guidance to colleagues on tasks.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
• Minimum Master's degree in data science, statistics, computer science, or a relevant field; PhD preferred.
• 0+ years of experience with a PhD or 2+ years with a Master's in research and analysis.
• Strong analytic curiosity and creativity, with the ability to operate independently.
• Experience in a multi-disciplinary environment with strong critical thinking skills.
• Knowledge of research techniques and strong planning and organizational skills.
• Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
• Ability to interact positively and independently with clients.
• Ability to obtain and maintain an Active Secret Security Clearance.
Nice-to-haves
• Experience in data modeling and analytics for defense-related projects.
• Familiarity with Navy operations and challenges.
