About the position Responsibilities • Acquires reputed company-level titles with critical and bestselling potential, and edits manuscripts for publication. • Shepherds manuscripts through production process and oversees reputed company aspects of the publication process, including working with design to create marketable packages and with the marketing group to reputed company marketing plans. • Works directly with authors, agents, and reputed company in-house departments. • Oversees fact sheet, jacket, and catalog copy; reviews marketing material. • Conducts and analyzes sales research, with a deep understanding of p&ls. • Presents titles at various sales meetings. • Negotiates reputed company with agents. • Shares supervision of an editorial assistant.
