Sr. Repair Station Assembler, Weekend Shift (2024-122)
About the position
Responsibilities
• Perform advanced assembly and rework skillsets such as wire splicing and crimping, lead and lead-free soldering, and component removal.
• Work with complex assemblies, including high power, Flight Critical, and APC products.
• Train other Repair Station Assemblers in processes and practices.
• Make setups and adjustments holding tolerances to technical specifications (drawings, schematics, etc.).
• Interact with development and/or manufacturing engineering personnel as needed.
• Work from rough schematics, blueprints, and oral instructions to construct developmental assemblies, sub-assemblies, and components.
• Perform a variety of electronic or electro-mechanical assembly tasks in support of developmental requirements in pre-production projects, if needed.
• Advise CRR Assemblers and CRR Rework Assemblers in rework and solder applications.
• Assist with NPI and Engineering projects as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Typically 3+ years of direct experience related to the essential functions of this job.
• ESD, FOD, and Uniform Torqueing Certification required.
• Required to obtain IPC-A-610, AES Rework Certification, PRB Certification, AES Flight Critical Certification, IPC 7711, and IPC 7721.
• May require additional certifications if working on special programs.
• Demonstrates competent knowledge of inspecting equipment, structures, or materials to identify errors or defects.
• Technical competency with IPC-610, IPC-JSTD, IPC-7711 & IPC-7721 soldering standards.
• Ability to identify and resolve problems in routine activities or processes.
• Experience in training other personnel.
