CORE Learning (CORE) provides expert digital and in-person professional learning for pre-K-12 literacy and mathematics. Our evidence-based model supports the implementation of rigorous instruction for the language-diverse classroom based on scientific evidence in literacy, second-language acquisition, and mathematics. We work with and support educators and administrators at all grade levels, district personnel, and state education departments to build system-wide capacity for sustained improvement that ends the predictability of student outcomes by race, language, and socioeconomic status.
Role Summary

We’re looking for a Product Creative Specialist who brings imagination, design skills, and attention to detail to help shape the visual and interactive elements of our learning products. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys visual storytelling, has a gamer’s instinct for user experience, and is excited to help create digital environments where learning comes alive.
In this role, you’ll support the creation and production of high-quality multimedia assets—including videos, images, and interactive content—and help input those materials into our Learning Management System (LMS). You’ll work closely with subject matter experts, product managers, and other creatives to ensure our course content looks great, functions smoothly, and delivers joyful learning experiences for educators and students. This role is at the intersection of design, technology, and education, combining expertise in UI/UX, animations, and video development to deliver world-class education solution
This is a full-time, Exempt position, reporting to CORE’s Product Production Director. UnboundEd/CORE Learning operates as a fully virtual organization, with core business hours from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. local time. This role can be based anywhere in the United States. Some travel may be required.
Key Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Multimedia Design & Development
• Use platforms like Vyond to create high-quality, engaging animations that clarify educational concepts.
• Design visuals and graphics—such as infographics, illustrations, one-pagers, lesson plans, and diagrams—that align with our instructional and brand goals.
• Assist in developing short-form video content through basic editing, storyboarding, and visual integration.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts to translate complex educational concepts into visually digestible animations and illustrations.
• Manage multimedia assets and maintain organized digital files to ensure easy access and version control.
Gamification & Learning Experience Design
• Create intuitive, visually compelling interfaces that enhance learner engagement.
• Develop interactive elements and workflows to optimize usability across devices and platforms.
• Contribute ideas and assets that make our learning experiences more interactive, playful, and rewarding.
Content Management & LMS Support
• Upload and organize course assets (videos, images, text, quizzes, etc.) into the LMS accurately and consistently.
• Ensure formatting, layout, and functionality of course modules match design specs and work smoothly for users.
• Conduct basic testing and quality checks within the LMS to ensure user-friendly navigation and display.
Accessibility & Inclusivity
• Apply accessibility best practices to ensure videos, images, and interactions are inclusive and usable by all learners.
• Learn and apply WCAG principles in your design process with support from accessibility specialists.
Collaboration & Communication
• Collaborate with product owners, instructional designers, engineers, and marketing teams to create cohesive and innovative product experiences.
• Take feedback with a growth mindset and contribute to a collaborative, supportive team environment.
• Manage project timelines and ensure delivery of high-quality outputs working in an Agile framework.
Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Multimedia Design, User Experience (UX) Design, Interaction Design, Animation/Visual Effects, Film/Video Production, Educational Technology, Instructional Design, or related field.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience designing visual content, ideally for learning, media, or digital products.
• Proficiency in animation tools and workflows.
• Experience in video production, including scriptwriting, storyboarding, editing, and post-production, is ideal. Experience with animated video tools such as Vyond is also ideal.
• Familiarity with video editing software such as Camtasia, Premiere, or iMovie.
• Familiarity with eLearning platforms, educational content design, and LMS integration.
• Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to articulate creative ideas to diverse stakeholders.
• Strong project management and organizational skills, with a focus on delivering results in fast-paced environments.

Nice to Have Skills and Experience
• Experience with or interest in gamification, eLearning platforms, or UX/UI design.
• Knowledge of andragogy and evidence-based learning practices to inform design decisions that support adult learners and engagement is a plus.

CORE Learning offers competitive salaries commensurate with experience and education and a generous benefits package that includes take-as-you-need vacation time, group medical, dental and vision plans, disability and life insurance plans, and an employer-sponsored 401K retirement plan with a 5% employer contribution with no vesting period or salary cap. This is an Exempt, full-time position with a starting salary of $95,000 and the potential for performance-based bonuses tied to organizational revenue goals.
