Consultant, Grant Accounting Early Learning
About the position
Responsibilities
• Provide budgeting, monitoring, and auditing for governmental grants, contracts, and non-grant agency programs.
• Administer and monitor accounting activities related to the Early Learning Program.
• Process financial information accurately and in compliance with program regulations.
• Perform audits to ensure accuracy and compliance with grant requirements.
• Prepare financial reports and provide guidance on financial matters related to grants and contracts.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to align financial activities with organizational goals.
Requirements
• Associates degree in a job-related field, or High School diploma/GED with a minimum of three (3) years of job-related experience.
• Experience in accounting, financial management, or a related area.
• Experience or knowledge working with Federal and State regulations.
Nice-to-haves
• Experience in grant accounting and/or educational agency accounting experience.
• Auditing experience.
• Professional experience with a large main frame accounting system.
• Professional experience in governmental accounting.
