SQL Developer with MSBI and Power BI

Job Title: SQL Developer with MSBI and Power BI Location: 100% Remote (USA) Employment Type: W2 Duration:12 Months Contract Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced SQL Developer with strong expertise in MSBI (SSIS, SSRS, SSAS) and Power BI for a 100% remote W2 opportunity. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building and maintaining robust data solutions that support business intelligence, reporting, and analytics needs. Key Responsibilities: • Develop advanced SQL queries, stored procedures, views, and other database objects. • Design, develop, and deploy ETL processes using SSIS. • Create and manage SSRS reports and scheduled report distributions. • Build and publish interactive Power BI dashboards and reports based on business requirements. • Collaborate with business users and analysts to gather and analyze data/reporting needs. • Work with SSAS (tabular/multidimensional models) to support OLAP analysis. • Ensure data integrity, performance, and security across BI platforms. • Perform regular code reviews, unit testing, and documentation of all work. Required Skills: • 5+ years of experience as a SQL Developer. • Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft BI Stack (SSIS, SSRS, SSAS). • Proven experience in building Power BI reports and dashboards. • Solid knowledge of T-SQL, query optimization, and relational database design. • Experience in data warehousing and ETL design. • Familiarity with dimensional data modeling and data visualization best practices. • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Preferred Qualifications: • Experience with Azure SQL, Power Platform, or Azure Data Factory is a plus. • Microsoft certifications related to SQL Server or Power BI. • Prior experience in Agile/Scrum environments.
