Experienced Python Developer to Stabilize Flask App on DigitalOcean

Hi, We’re looking for an experienced Python developer to perform a quick check and fix on a small Flask-based web application hosted on DigitalOcean (Ubuntu 20.04). The site generates PDFs of products linked to various locations (rooms inside buildings). We’re experiencing intermittent issues with the app being unavailable. Sometimes we get a 501 Bad Gateway error. Other times, when visiting the server’s IP address directly on port 5005, we get a connection refused message. We suspect the app crashes or doesn’t restart after a reboot, and isn’t running under a proper process manager (e.g., systemd, gunicorn, etc.). Scope of Work: - Diagnose and resolve the issue (app not running / not restarting). - Ensure the Flask app is always available after a reboot or system update. - Improve stability and security if needed. - Estimated time: ±2 hours. Requirements: - Strong experience with Python & Flask. - Familiarity with Linux servers (especially DigitalOcean). - Able to jump in and fix things quickly.
