Part-Time Licensed Clinical Social Worker, LCSW

Summary of Position:
The Licensed Clinical Social Worker serves as a specialist within complex surgical procedure pipeline, providing psych evaluations for patients that are pending for outpatient procedures on a part-time basis.
Responsibilities
• Assist Providers by performing psych evaluations of patients to determine stability for treatment
• Assess patient mental health through interviews and review of patient chart while educating patients on overall wellness, health maintenance, and suitability for surgical treatments
• Collaborate with Providers for best course of medical treatment for all SSJC patients
• Follow all compliant protocols and attention to details related to patient care and management
• Comfortable working in a growing, dynamic organization and able to navigate change
• Maintain a safe clean work environment as well as perform other duties as assigned
Skills And Abilities
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Outlook, and Excel
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to HIPAA
• Ability to work independently and as part of a small team
• Strong interpersonal skills when working with patients
• Strong written communication skills
• Working knowledge of medical terminology, CPT coding, ICD.10 coding, and medical pre-certification and prior authorization protocols
Education And Experience
• Active LCSW license to practice in the state of GA
• Masters in Social Work from an accredited Institution
• Self-motivated with ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team environment
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time effectively
• Excellent written & verbal communication skills
• Personable and confident while providing exceptional patient care.
• Previous experience in pain management or other medical fields (preferred)
Individuals that speak Spanish, Korean, or Vietnamese as a second language preferred.
